Description

In Gravity Yoga, poses are practiced completely relaxed, passively, so gravity does most of the work - hence the name.

This practice is to supplement, not replace, other forms of yoga or exercise.

We will be working with static poses that may require some props so I would recommend having a few things together before the class:

A yoga mat
A cushion/pillow or bolster
Yoga blocks or hard back books 2 of equal size if possible
Strap (tie/scarf)
Wall space the width of the end of your mat (We use the wall for one of the poses)

A few things to note:
Please seek approval from your doctor if you have a) joint replacements b) severe scoliosis c) illness and disease d) recent surgeries. Please don't practice if you are on painkillers, pregnant and if you are Hypermobile or have Ehlers-Danios please only work at 80% of stretch. Deep stretches are best done after exercise and before bed as it is deeply relaxing.
