Namaste, I’m Vishal and I have a passion for practising yoga with purpose. I consider yoga to be less of a ‘workout’, but more of a ‘work-in’ and an opening to give back. It’s to journey within and bring harmony to the whole of your being and not just the physical body. Yoga is a timeless tool for self-transformation – to shift the way you perceive and experience everyday life, in the highs and (perhaps more importantly) in the lows. To positively change the way we live and promote our relationships. Knowing this is the essence of yoga. The one who embodies this is a yogi.
I received my training in classical hatha yoga from Samyak Yoga Ashram, a grass roots school in Mysore (India). My practice is grounded in the values and key principles of traditional Indian yoga. The intention is to take you back to the roots of yoga and offer an authentic practice that can add more balance to your modern day life. Teaching gives me purpose and my intention is to inspire and directly contribute to positive change in the lives of others and the community, by drawing on my experiences and making the benefits of the teachings available to more people. And, not to forget, to have some fun along the way! For added purpose, I donates 10% of proceeds to a London based not-for profit organisation called Project Yogi.

Description
Yin & Tonic is a new take on 'Thirsty Thursdays' - for those who want a nourishing elixir for the body, mind and soul. Focussed on relaxation and restoration, the class combines elements of traditional Hatha and Yin postures which are held for a longer period of time, along with prāṇāyāma (breath work) and meditation. The aim is to gently strengthen and stretch the connective tissue, while calming the mind and nervous system.
Practise with purpose: use your breath and awareness to re-balance your body, mind and soul. And, in doing so contribute to the local community with 5% of proceeds being donated Project Yogi (www.projectyogi.com).
