Description
An exploration into sound vibration with the focus on cleansing and clearing body and mind.
Somatic Yin is a Yoga practice uses Somatics, which is a process of gentle floor based micro-movements to work in-between each Yin Yoga posture. Inviting the somatics and the yin yoga together allows the body to acclimatise with more comfort, fluidity and alignment to eventually find a deepened stillness for each longer hold of Yin posture, (which is held for 3-5min.) this freeing practice is 60mins. Then seamlessly shift to the Sound Bath, where the body remains in stillness for up to 45-50mins. This is a form of deep relaxation using healing sound vibrations such as gongs, crystal bowls, rain sticks, voice/ mantra and other instruments explore an ocean of live sound to dive into, with different intensities. Mostly soothing sounds with carefully placed short moments of dissonance, to intentionally create friction to dissipate any “rebellious stuck energy” in the body to eventually bring a greater sense of ease, there are moments echoing our ancestors through voice, calling across an ocean of awareness to make space for “all that is”. The over all the sound bath invites you to mentally relax and carry you to a place of soothing sounds to bring a softened sense and harmony within. Recalibrate and realign.
