Description
What is a Making Peace Circle?
Is there something in your life that you are having trouble making peace with? Many of us carry unresolved thoughts and emotions that sit like knots in our hearts and minds. Making Peace Circles offer sacred space for community, empathy, and healing — a place to gently untangle what’s been tightly held.
After a centering meditation, slips of paper are drawn to determine roles: one person will be called by Spirit to share ("the knot-untangler") while the rest hold loving, nonjudgmental space as listeners.
This is not a space for advice, but for listening, reflecting, and asking thoughtful questions that allow the speaker to go deeper. Some examples include:
• What are the needs behind the feelings you're experiencing?
• What sort of outcome would feel loving to all involved?
• If this is a learning opportunity, what lesson might it offer?
The Purpose:
To make peace — in your own mind and heart — and to practice beloved community through empathy, presence, and trust. Every participant agrees to a confidentiality statement to protect the sanctity of the space.
Timing:
Each circle lasts 90 minutes, with the option to extend an additional 30 minutes if it serves the process. Listeners may exit at 90 minutes if needed.
Cost:
This is a donation-based gathering. All love offerings go directly to Bear River Spa & Yoga in gratitude for the space.
