Description

A common theme seen in disciplines as far-ranging as Christianity, Paganism, modern cell theory, yogic breathwork, et al is that of three parts encompassing the whole. Such is our inspiration in creating this sacred space. The day’s themes will flow together seamlessly and interconnect, guiding us ever more deeply into layers of the Self.

Our day begins with Beth leading with a brief hatha yoga practice to prepare for Jimbo’s sound-enhanced savasana. This is a unique opportunity to be nurtured, healed and transformed through sound immersion and gong meditation. Relax and receive this attunement between your body’s natural frequencies and those of the gong, singing bowls, crystalline instruments, drum and chimes. Parasympathetic resonance and brain entrainment (letting go) allows participants to experience altered consciousness, reduction of stress, chronic pain relief and enhanced immune function.

Now open to receiving, we shift awareness and continue to move deeply into exploration of self-identity. Ward creates a safe space within which to examine our place in the world, weaving together themes of social justice, community, collaboration, cooperation, and the life of the Spirit. This experience will be fun and interactive as Ward employs multiple methods including, but not limited to, breath, voice, and theatricality. When studying one's Self, it is ultimately possible to discover the greater Consciousness that is present in the whole universe and understand how the individual Self fits into that Consciousness.

In yogic philosophy, all creative force abides in the realm of the crown chakra. Having savored our earlier themes, we’ll move our energy into creating. Jen will lead us through an intuitive painting experience which culminates in creating a beautiful mandala suitable for adorning your home or to give as a lovely, heartfelt gift.

Our time together will conclude with the theme of the sutra, or sacred thread, bringing us together in the spirit of nurturance, community, and transformation!

Fruit, tea, and water will be provided throughout the day.

Tickets must be purchased in advance. Space is limited to 25 participants, and this gathering will surely sell out ~ please don't delay! Thanks!
