Description

Yin yoga provides opportunity to learn more about our bodies. Slow-paced with poses that are held for a longer period as we target the fascia of the body (a sheet or band of fibrous connective tissue). Most Yin poses are performed on the floor and focus on a specific part of the body such as the hips, pelvis, spine and shoulders. The result is greater ease of motion with less effort. We feel more relaxed and lighter when we free up adhesions and “gluing” that solidify in the fascia, due to lifestyle, injury, and the aging process. The atmosphere of our Yin class is unhurried, and relaxed.
