Welcome to Yin yoga with Helen 😊
The practise of Yin yoga is both relaxing and focused. ‘Relaxing’
because the floor-based supported poses are enjoyed for several
minutes at a time. ‘Focused’ because attention and awareness are
given to the joints and deeper tissues. The combination induces
the letting go of deep tension and encourages the building of
healthy tissue.
The style of Yin I teach is with traditional Yin poses combined with
specific breathing techniques (pranayama), deep relaxation and
meditation/stillness. Overall, Yin is a quiet slow practise enjoyed
by many. It can be especially beneficial for stress and emotional
relief, and also aid in recovery from burnout.
