Description
Starting with a dynamic warm up and transitioning to a very relaxing Yin yoga where we focus on releasing tension with passive poses supported by props like cushions, blocks, blankets, etc.
🌿
> “Yin Yoga is a slow, deeply relaxing practice that works on your connective tissues — the fascia, ligaments, and joints — rather than the muscles.
> We hold each posture for several minutes, allowing the body to gently open, release tension, and increase flexibility without force.
> It’s not about doing more — it’s about *being* more present, still, and connected to your breath.”
---
🕯️ **The purpose**
Yin Yoga helps balance the constant “yang” energy of our busy lives — workouts, to-do lists, and rushing — with the opposite quality: stillness, patience, surrender.
It’s a **practice of letting go**, rather than pushing or striving.
🌸 What to expect in class
* Postures are mainly done seated or lying down
* Each pose is held for 3–5 minutes
* You’ll use props (bolsters, blankets, blocks) to fully relax
* The room is quiet, sometimes with soft music or guidance for awareness
* The aim is comfortably uncomfortable— gentle sensation, not pain
* You’ll leave feeling calmer, grounded, and deeply rested
---
🪷 Benefits you will notice
* Releases tight hips, back, and shoulders
* Improves flexibility and joint mobility
* Calms the nervous system, reduces stress and anxiety
* Balances hormones by supporting the parasympathetic state
* Enhances sleep and emotional resilience
* Builds patience, mindfulness, and acceptance
---
You don’t need to be flexible or experienced — Yin Yoga meets you exactly where you are.
> It’s a beautiful complement to dynamic practices like Vinyasa, strength training, or running.
> If you often feel tired, tense, or mentally overstimulated, this is your medicine. It’s a time to slow down, listen to your body, and reset your energy.
