Description

Kundalini Yoga is known as ‘The Yoga of Awareness’ - a powerful ancient practice with each class consisting of simple repetitive Yoga postures, meditation, breath/energy techniques (Pranayama) and mantra (chants) with beautiful Kundalini music. Each week after atunement and a warm up there is a different sequence of postures (kriyas’) energising body, mind and spirit. Some sets work on the lungs, the spine, glandular system, mental /psyche, heart, or the magnetic field etc. There are many wonderful meditations and mantras with the practice, which work with the sound and energy currents of body/mind. We finish the class with a deep relaxation. The practice creates feelings of enhanced clarity of mind, vitality in the body and a joyful elevation of the spirit as well as helping to release emotional tension and stress. We transform our health, opening up to our creative potential and intuition. All abilities are welcome!
