About Gently Unbound Yoga
About Gently Unbound Yoga:
Take what you need, leave what no longer serves you on your mat.
Gently Unbound Yoga was imagined by me, Hanna, the spring of 2024, with a dream to build community and help people make connections. My dream is to eventually host accessible retreats that bring people home to themselves while building a community. When I began to learn more about yoga and started my training, "yoga means union" stuck with me. I began to wonder what union meant to me, and now I am creating it.
I am currently finishing my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training with Online Yoga School. I have greatly enjoyed learning about yoga philosophy, and my goal is to incorporate it into my classes and workshops. I do utilize sanskrit and English terms during my classes, and incorporate pranayama (breathwork) and dhyana (meditation) alongside asanas (postures).
I would be honored to hold space for you in one of my classes, and so I encourage you to come as you are and give yourself permission to experience each class however you need to. This is your practice, make it whatever you so wish. I simply only make offerings in each class, you can do whatever your body needs at any time. I highly encourage intuitive movement.
Studio/Class Requests/Etiquette:
Please try your best to arrive on time to respect other students experience. I understand that things happen, so if you expect to be late please kindly send me a text if you SAFELY can! The door locks 5 minutes after class begins for everyone's safety.
Please do not bring food containing the top 9 allergens into the studio space out of respect for those with food allergies (if you're unfamiliar, please Google. Let's keep each other safe!) Remember to keep strong fragrances such as perfume and essential oils to a minimum. If you have a sensitivity that worries you to come into my space; please let me know so I can make my space accessible for you. I want you here!
Consent is of the upmost value in any given space or time. I will always ask for permission before offering any hands on assist, or physical interaction such as hugs. I expect the same courtesy back.
Gently Unbound Yoga has no tolerance for hate, racism, discrimination, ableism, homophobia, xenophobia, transphobia or violence in any of our classes, events, workshops. You will be asked to leave and no longer welcome to future classes/events if exhibiting such behavior or making other students uncomfortable.
I am always open to feedback, constructive criticism, and ideas on how to make my space and work more accessible, more warm, more welcoming.
