Hi I’m Emily, In a typical Hatha yoga class with me, we explore a set of physical postures through embodied, creative movement and static holds with emphasis on the breath throughout. Classes end with a guided relaxation. Classes follow a theme so that we can make connections and build on the movement and breathing practices as we journey through a series of classes together.

Ashtanga is a traditional and structured form of yoga, focusing on a set sequence of poses linked by breath and movement. Unlike other forms of yoga, Ashtanga emphasises discipline and consistency, helping you build strength, flexibility, and a calm, focused mind over time.

Celeste’s approach makes this powerful practice accessible to everyone. With her warm demeanor and gentle encouragement, she’ll guide you through the foundational sequence, offering modifications and support to meet you where you are. Her calm yet passionate energy fosters a space where you can explore the deeper layers of your practice at your own pace.

Whether you’re curious about Ashtanga or looking to refine your technique, Ashtanga with Celeste offers the perfect balance of structure and flow, leaving you feeling both grounded and invigorated.

Ashtanga is a dynamic form of yoga which follows a set sequence of postures (asanas). As you get to know the postures, there is more space to focus on breath (ujjayi), which is central to making this practice a moving mediation. In this class I will guide you through the Half Primary Series, which works on opening the hips and hamstrings, as well as cleansing the internal organs. We begin with Sun Salutations and then move through a series of standing and seated postures to strengthen the whole body and improve flexibility. I offer verbal and hands-on assists to support students to safely access deeper asana and alignment.
