Restorative Yoga is the practice of deep rest. Using props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks, the body is fully supported in poses of comfort and ease. This allows the nervous system to soften, tension to release, and the body’s natural capacity for healing to emerge. Poses are held for longer periods of time, encouraging profound relaxation, improved well-being, and a sense of nourishment on both physical and subtle levels. This practice is accessible to all and is especially beneficial for stress reduction, recovery, and restoring balance.
