Often called the “quiet practice,” Yin Yoga focuses on the deeper connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. In this practice, postures are held for 3–5 minutes, allowing the body to gently open and release tension stored within these areas.
Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to more active or dynamic practices, and it’s an excellent support for developing a steady meditation practice. Beyond the physical benefits, Yin works with the body’s energetic pathways—clearing blockages in the Nadis (meridians) to enhance the flow of Prana (or Chi). This not only improves organ health and energy flow but also promotes overall balance, vitality, and a deep sense of well-being.
