I was born and raised in New York State, and life has since guided me to my home in Virginia. I’m married, blessed with four wonderful children, and delighted to be a grandmother to three beautiful little souls.
I am a yoga teacher though, in many ways, I feel yoga found me. While exploring different movement and fitness styles, yoga appeared almost by accident… yet it immediately felt different, familiar, and deeply right. What began as curiosity quickly grew into a lifelong path.
I have been practicing and teaching for several years now, and the learning never stops. My offerings include Yin Yoga, Self Awakening Yoga, an approach that expands consciousness through the body’s innate wisdom and Hatha Yoga. Each style allows me to guide students into deeper awareness, gentleness, and personal transformation.
Yoga continues to evolve with me, and I’m grateful every day for the opportunity to share its healing, clarity, and quiet magic with others.
Description
Self Awakening Yoga is an expansion of consciousness through our body's own wisdom.
This practice uses interesting, fun ways of unwinding, tapping, rolling, and thumping to mention a few. It is a practice of awakening prana, the life force, in all of us to bring awareness to and unlock any old and unserving patterns.
It's a practice of inquiry, noticing how we arrive to and through shapes. We query why I am moving this way? What do I feel? Where do I feel it?
It is thru the ASIS principle (awareness if sensation thru internal scanning) that we awaken to ways of change and begin new patterns of healing. We are encouraged to listen to the body as the wisdom unlocks thru the flow of prana, bringing a sense of balance and understanding of our relationship with the breath.
This class is for everyone.
