We add load by using body weight, bands, and dumbbells. If you do not have weights or bands, you can get creative and find things around your home to use. (cans, stretchy tights etc)

Learning new movements, or doing old movements in different ways, is a great way to get the body progressing in a new direction. We affect more than just our tissues when we demand something out of the ordinary. Remember your body love and yearns for variety!!

This flow class is a fun explorative journey of some more “challenging” asanas. You will learn how to make the asana fit your body rather than the other way around. There is a place for everyone in every asana. This class is about the journey and not the destination, and is suitable for anyone with some yoga practice.

An All Levels class designed to challenge, inspire and educate students to learn more about the practice, the poses and themselves. Variations are always offered.

Like science, yoga movement evolves with our better understanding of biomechanics (the study of the structure, function and motion of the mechanical aspects of biological systems). But Yoga is not just a science, it is also a philosophy and way of life, so in this class you can expect "traditional yoga" with a modern approach.

Yin yoga is mindful deep stretching with longer holds.

Grab yourself some blankets, towels, pillows or couch cushions and some books of similar height and size to use in place of blocks.

We are thrilled to offer this class in which is truly for everyone! At Hudson River Yoga we are dedicated to sharing yoga with everyone. We believe that all people, regardless of ability or background deserve accessible access to the teachings of yoga, which offer individual empowerment and awakening.

Every body can enjoy this fun yoga practice which will be instructed in ways that are accessible and make sense to you the student. This class can be particularly helpful for students with limitation in mobility, range of motion or those who may not be able to practice on a yoga mat, and/or anyone who may not feel comfortable in a traditional yoga class.

Props needed: a firm armless chair, blocks or books, a yoga strap, scarf or tie, and blanket or towel.

Your feet are important to your whole body health! As much as we rely on our feet to get us where we’re going each and every day, many of us know very little about how our feet are supposed to work and how their function affects the rest of our body, or how the function of our hips can affect our feet.

Proper function of the feet is vital for optimal movement quality, biomechanics, and muscle function. Improving foot function will improve your posture as well as your mobility and balance.

Poor foot mechanics can lead to issues that are manifested throughout the body, including chronic pain and injuries.
