My yoga journey started in 2003 when working abroad in a completely different industry, a work friend had been to a yoga class and suggested it to me knowing I had a keen interest in fitness after leaving the Royal Marines.
I was young and fit and thought it would be easy for someone who had come from my background.
I was wrong! It was hard but not in a way that I was familiar with, it was calm and quiet but I ached for days after my first practice.
I was pretty much hooked after that first session, and my practice went from
once a week to twice a week and more when I could fit it in around my job.
The benefits were so obvious not just in a physical way, but I felt better in myself, more able to deal with life and all those challenges we all face on a day to day basis.
In 2012 I started my teacher training and started classes around Herefordshire soon after. It really is a privilege to see people find yoga and enjoy the many benefits it can bring.
Please don’t dismiss coming if you are un-flexible this is merely a side effect of our practice.
