Seeing what is there: Pramana and Santosha in Asana
The philosophical focus will be on Sutra I.7, which explores the nature of valid knowledge (pramana) and how this understanding can deepen our practice of the niyama santosa (Sutra II.32). In the asana sessions, I’d like students to work in pairs on how to give each other basic adjustments and to use their phone cameras to help “see themselves” in their poses from a new perspective, with particular attention to their inversions.
