I fell in love with yoga in my twenties whilst studying English Literature at university. At the same time, I started to attend Buddhist classes and learned how to meditate. My love of yoga led me to complete Teacher Training with the wonderful Ian Davis of OrangeYoga. This has been a life changing experience: yoga has taught me how to breathe, has created strength and flexibility in my body and in my mind, and helped me be kinder to myself and others, on and off the mat. I love teaching and I love learning. As well as being a yoga teacher, I also teach English at a secondary school in Coventry. One of the joys of teaching is being able to connect with people and to create a supportive space for learning and playful exploration. Inspired by Vinyasa, Somatics and Viniyoga - I train weekly with Dave Charlton of Living Yoga - I like to create classes that challenge as well as support students to be kind to themselves. Alongside mindful movement, I incorporate pranayama (breathing) practices and meditation. I feel so grateful to be able to practise yoga and I can’t wait to share the practice of yoga with you. 200 hour Yoga Alliance 300 hour Advanced Teacher Training Alliance (ongoing) 70 hour Somatics with Charlotte Watts (ongoing) MISP .b Mindfulness teacher

Special Somatic Restorative Yoga Event

Saturday 3.00-5.00pm

This is a special extended somatic and restorative yoga class so that you can really experience the benefits of deep relaxation and rest and enjoy our beautiful yogi community.

3.00pm-4.30pm 90 minute class with candle light, organic blankets and essential oils.

4.30-5.00pm We will share a glass of Prosecco, tea and nibbles and spend time chatting together.

A wonderful way to spend an afternoon/early evening, a welcome antidote to our busy modern lifestyle, and a perfect complement to other forms of dynamic exercise, this nurturing class allows your nervous system to relax, restore and replenish. This is a floor based practice where you lie down supported by bolsters, blankets and other props. We hold the poses for longer which enables the nervous system to come into balance allowing time and space for the body to heal and release patterns of tension. Somatic restorative yoga also supports students recovering from illness or injury and promotes better sleep.
