Description
A Gentle, Trauma-Informed Practice for Mind-Body Wellbeing
Therapeutic Yoga is a gentle, adaptive practice designed to support physical, emotional, and nervous system healing and maintenance. Rooted in the principles of classical yoga, somatic awareness, and modern rehabilitation science, this class focuses on restoring balance, improving mobility, fun and cultivating a deeper sense of connection between body and mind.
Each session integrates mindful movement, restorative postures, guided breathwork (pranayama), and meditation to support the body’s natural capacity to heal. This class offers a safe and supportive environment for most levels and bodies.
In This Class You’ll Experience:
Slow, intentional movements to support joint mobility and muscular balance
Breath practices to calm the nervous system and enhance body awareness
Restorative and supported poses for deep relaxation and nervous system regulation
Mindfulness techniques for stress reduction and emotional resilience
Individualized options and use of props to meet your body’s unique needs
Who It’s For:
Ideal for those who now find doing a strong or flow class too much, folk recovering, being in a more mature body or simply looking for a slower, more intentional yoga practice. No prior yoga experience is necessary. All bodies and abilities are welcome. You need to be able to get up and down off the floor.
Facilitated by a yoga teacher with training in therapeutic, trauma-informed, and accessible yoga.
