Hi Aberdeen! I’m Shimaa, and I’m so excited to finally call this city home. Originally from Egypt, I spent the last five years as a full-time traveller, exploring corners of the globe and learning from every culture I met. Now that I’ve settled here, I’m on a mission to bring some soul and movement to our community!
As a belly dancer, I’m ready to bring the authentic shimmies of my homeland to the North East. But my passion for movement doesn't stop there—I’m also a certified Yoga and Aerial Yoga teacher. I believe in using 'Goga' (my fusion of grace and yoga!) to help us release daily stress, find our flow, and truly enjoy our bodies. Let’s move, breathe, and celebrate life together!
Description
This class is a dynamic 75-minute class designed to build strength, stability, and confidence through the magic of yoga. Structured a wee but like a sandwich, we begin with gentle grounding through pranayama (breathwork) before moving into a strong, flowing asana practice.
You can expect a strength-focused sequence with opportunities to explore drills, refine skills. I will always try to respond to the energy or requests of the group.
We close by softening back down and ensuring time for a juicy Savasana.
