About Many Sands Yoga & Reformer Pilates

Many Sands Pilates is a boutique reformer studio for women who are ready to build lasting strength, improve mobility and move with greater confidence in their bodies.
This is not a busy drop-in gym. Our studio offers small group sessions, personalised guidance and a calm, supportive environment where movement is intentional and purposeful.
Our classes focus on building real strength, joint capacity and nervous-system-safe movement so your body feels supported both in the studio and in everyday life.
Alongside traditional Reformer Pilates, the studio now incorporates principles from Mobility Fitness Academy, a specialised approach to understanding how the joints and nervous system communicate to create movement.
This means we don’t simply chase stretches or quick fixes. Instead, we work with the body to help restore smoother, stronger movement patterns that support long-term joint health.
You may notice small elements of this work gently appearing in our regular classes. In addition, specialised MFA sessions will be gradually introduced to the timetable. These focused sessions are slower, highly intentional and designed to help improve joint mobility, reduce persistent “pinching” or stiffness, and build confident movement that lasts.
This studio is a space where women can move with care, breathe deeply, and feel supported by a community walking a similar path.

About Karen

Karen is the founder of Many Sands Pilates and brings together a unique blend of education, movement science and nervous-system-aware training.
She holds a Bachelor of Education, an Advanced Diploma in Yoga Teacher Training, is a Certified Reformer Pilates Instructor, and a Certified Joint Neurology Practitioner through the Mobility Fitness Academy (MFA).
Karen has a special interest in helping women improve movement quality, restore joint confidence and build lasting strength through thoughtful, evidence-informed training.
Her teaching style blends the structure of Pilates with deeper understanding of how the joints, brain and nervous system work together, creating sessions that support long-term mobility rather than short-term fixes.
She believes movement should feel empowering, intelligent and deeply supportive of the body.
