About MINDFUL MOMENTS

Hello, my name is Jo, and I have dedicated 25 years of my career to the NHS, specialising in areas such as respiratory care and learning disabilities. Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience and hold current qualifications in safeguarding adults and children, as well as advanced first aid and life support. In addition to my NHS experience, I have had the privilege of working with Greater Manchester Police for 20 years, further enhancing my skills and professional development.

In September 2019, I completed a suicide prevention course and am a strong advocate for the principles of Equality, Diversity, and Human Rights. I have also completed foundational training in domestic violence, child abuse, drug and alcohol awareness, and was honoured with a 20-year Long Service and Recognition Award from Greater Manchester Police.

Previously, I have volunteered as a Community Responder for the North West Ambulance Service, offering vital support in emergencies. I am also a registered member of the Association for Respiratory Technology & Physiology, which has proven invaluable in my practice of delivering breathwork techniques. Additionally, I have participated in palliative and end-of-life care study days to deepen my understanding in those areas.

I find joy and inspiration in the outdoors, frequently exploring the Lake District. I am working towards completing all the Wainwrights, have climbed Ben Nevis, and enjoyed kayaking on the region’s beautiful waters. My adventurous spirit also led me to complete the Military Krypton Factor course.

My professional journey has led me to discover a deep passion for yoga. I am continuing to develop myself in yoga training, having recently completed a diploma with distinction in Hatha Yoga, and I am currently pursuing a 200-hour yoga certification in the UK. My goal is to continue my training in India to further develop my practice. Yoga has profoundly enhanced my physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, and I am passionate about helping others experience these benefits. With a distinction in meditation, I am also well-equipped to support mental health and emotional well-being, areas I believe yoga and meditation can significantly improve.

I’m excited to share that I’ve recently completed training in sound healing. The benefits have been incredible, from deep relaxation to enhanced well-being. I love how sound vibrations can help balance the mind and body, creating a peaceful and restorative experience. I’m looking forward to bringing these healing frequencies to others!

In addition, I hold a current qualification as a Mental Health First Aider and am the Learning Disability Lead within our practice, where I am committed to supporting patients with learning disabilities. I also hold an accredited diploma in Reflexology.

I look forward to sharing my passion for holistic wellness with others and helping people transform their lives through yoga, meditation, and mindfulness practices.
