Health and wellbeing have always been at the heart of what I care about. I first came to yoga and Pilates looking for a better way to look after my own body, and the difference it made stayed with me. It’s why I wanted to teach..
I trained with the Devon School of Yoga, completing my 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2021, and went on to gain my Diploma in Teaching Mat Pilates in 2024. That same passion for wellbeing has since led me to study Holistic Nutritional Therapy, which I’m completing now.
My classes focus on building core strength, stability and freedom of movement, so everyday life feels a little easier. Come as you are, and we’ll take it from there.

Description
A steady, mat-based class built on control, breath and careful technique. We work through slow, precise movements that build core strength, support better posture and keep the whole body moving well, with time to really feel what each exercise is doing.
It’s a mixed-ability class. Every exercise has a gentler and a stronger option, so whether you’re brand new to Pilates or have been practising for years, you can work at the level that suits your body on the day.
What to expect:
Core strength: Deep, steady work through the centre of the body, the foundation for everything else.
Posture and mobility: Movements that lengthen, strengthen and open up the body, to help you move with more ease.
Balance and body awareness: Slow, controlled work that helps you notice how you hold and move yourself.
All levels welcome: No experience needed.
A focused, low-impact hour that leaves you feeling strong, balanced and ready for the day.

Hi, I'm Jen.
For over a decade before I ever stepped to the front of a room to teach yoga, I was a dedicated student. My personal practise naturally gravitated toward stronger, more rigorous disciplines, which perfectly complemented my background in Personal Training and Strength & Conditioning.
I have a deep appreciation for the mechanics of building functional power. But structurally, we need more than just heavy lifting to thrive in modern life; your nervous system needs intentional space to regulate and rest.
That balance is exactly why I built MOKU. I specialise in teaching Hatha, Vinyasa, and the wonderfully dynamic movement of Mandala Vinyasa. Very soon, I will also offer Yin (for when you need to melt over a bolster and tune out the world) and Shake the Dust (a high-energy somatic release).
Whether you need to build bulletproof joints, flow creatively, or literally shake the Friday stress out of your body, I’ve got you covered.
See you on the mat.

Description
A strong, flowing yoga practice where every movement follows the breath. Expect a steady pace, creative sequences and smooth transitions that keep you focused and warm, with time to slow down and refine the shapes you already know. Best suited to those with a regular practice who are comfortable with sun salutations, chaturanga and the warrior shapes. Fluid and grounded, with a bit of fun along the way.

I’ve always loved Pilates for the way it builds real strength through slow, controlled movement. So I teach the kind of class I’d want to go to myself: something that feels like a deep breath, not a punishment.
I’m a Level 3 qualified mat Pilates instructor based here in North Devon. My classes are strong, slow and a bit sweaty, always led by the breath, with a focus on control, good form and building strength from the inside out. Expect a good playlist, no shouting and nobody talking about “burning off” breakfast.
Whether you’re brand new to Pilates or have been practising for years, my classes are welcoming and adaptable to wherever you’re at that day. We always finish with a short meditation to bring you home to your body, so you leave feeling better than when you arrived.

Description
Slow, strong and steady. This is mat Pilates where control matters more than speed. Every movement is done with intention and led by the breath. You’ll work deep through your core, glutes and the small stabilising muscles that hold you upright, and you’ll feel it the next day.
What to expect:
Pace: Slow and deliberate. Fewer reps, done well.
Focus: Good form, steady breath and building strength from the centre outwards.
Vibe: Warm, welcoming and a little sweaty, with a good playlist.
Every movement comes with options, so the class works whether it’s your first time or you’ve been practising for years. We finish with a short meditation before you head back into your day.

Teaching since 2014, my classes encompass the traditional Ashtanga primary series, fluid Vinyasa, meditation, and specialised yoga for pregnancy and postnatal care. My training began with Yoga Campus and has since evolved through immersive study with Uma Dinsmore Tuli and Yoga Like Water.
My personal practice has been a steady anchor through many life transitions, including three of my own pregnancies. Because of this, I am a big believer in the power of consistency, returning to the mat time and again to find both surrender and strength.
Beyond the studio, I have been based in North Devon since 2021, where my broader work is dedicated to holding space for others as a Doula, Grief Coach, and a support worker for women affected by the criminal justice system.
Description
Curious about Ashtanga but not sure you're ready for it? This is the way in.
Ashtanga has a reputation for being strict and a little intimidating: the set sequence, the structure, a room full of people who seem to already know exactly what they're doing. This class quietly takes all of that apart. Week by week we work through the opening of the same traditional sequence, slowly, with time to actually learn each posture and the breath that goes with it. Nothing is assumed, and nothing is rushed.
Some people use this as their way into our Saturday Ashtanga class. Others find it's exactly the pace they want, and simply stay. Both are completely right.
What to expect:
At your own pace: We take the beginning of the Primary Series slowly, so you learn it properly rather than scrambling to keep up.
Modified for you: Every posture has an option. You do the version that suits your body on the day.
No expectations: You don't need to be flexible, strong, or experienced. You just need to be curious.
An hour to move, breathe, and get to know a practice that rewards turning up.

Description
A dynamic, full-mat practice that moves in every direction, not just forward and back. Each class centres on one of the four elements, Earth, Water, Fire, or Air, to bring a different focus to the body.
We start and end slow, with deep floor postures that work into the connective tissue. In between, the pace lifts into a strong, continuous Vinyasa flow that builds heat and asks you to work.
Expect to move a lot, breathe hard, and leave steadier than you arrived.

As a Registered Nurse with a PGcert in Clinical Education, my career in the health services sparked a deep passion for supporting others.
I combine my clinical background with my experience as a Professional Nursing Advocate, Schwartz Round facilitator, Advanced Communication Skills facilitator and Yoga Teacher to welcome you into a safe, supportive space designed for mindful yoga practice.
What makes me unique?
It is uncommon to find a registered nurse, teacher, advanced communication trainer, and restorative and resilience-based clinical supervisor who is also a trained yoga teacher.
My unique background allows me to offer a truly holistic approach to well-being.
Having experienced surgical menopause at age 39 and receiving a diagnosis of ADHD at 41, I profoundly understand the vital need for self-care for everyone, whatever your situation.
I plan to continue my education in Reiki, massage, mindfulness, restorative, and yin yoga to further help people unwind and realise the necessity of prioritising their well-being.
Description
This class is the antidote to the physical stiffness that comes with daily life. Rather than rushing through postures, we strip the pace right back to focus on conscious, deliberate movement. It is a slow, methodical, and highly accessible approach to unwinding the body. Whether you are looking to maintain your joint health, step onto a mat for the very first time, or want to move without the pressure of keeping up with a fast-paced room, this is where you start.
What to expect:
Pace: Gloriously slow and intentional.
Focus: Rebuilding balance, preserving everyday mobility, and mindful, structural stretching.
Vibe: A space where you can take your time and move exactly as your own body allows.

Description
For those who know the sequence or are ready to learn it properly.
This is Ashtanga as it's meant to be practised: the Primary Series, led and counted, moving with the breath. If you already know the shapes, this is your hour to drop the thinking and just practise, to find the rhythm, meet your familiar edges, and feel the sequence work the way only repetition can. If you're newer but committed, you're welcome here too; follow the count, take the modifications, and the series will teach you over time.
We move through the full arc: sun salutations, standing postures, the seated sequence, and a proper close. A strong, steady, physical practice. The same shapes, the same order, every week.
What to expect:
Led and counted: Kay guides the pace and the breath, so you can stay in the practice rather than in your head.
Your own edge: Every posture has its options. This is a strong class, but never a competitive one.
Rewards the regular: Ashtanga gives back what you put in. Turn up each week, and you'll feel it.
Brand new to Ashtanga? Start with Ashtanga Basics on Thursdays, we'll get you ready for this room.

Description
Yin is a slow-paced style of yoga where floor-based postures are held for extended periods, typically between 5 to 10 minutes.
Unlike dynamic movement classes that target the muscular system, Yin specifically targets the body's dense connective tissues: the fascia, ligaments, and joint capsules. To successfully isolate these deeper tissues, the surrounding muscles must be completely relaxed. Gravity and time are used to apply a moderate, sustained physical stress to these areas to help improve joint mobility and tissue hydration.
The reality of the practice:
Mechanics: You will use props to support your frame so your muscles are able to disengage.
The Challenge: While you are physically supported, applying sustained tension to connective tissue creates a high level of physical sensation.
Focus: The primary difficulty of Yin is maintaining absolute physical and mental stillness for minutes at a time while under this tension.
Because you are not generating muscular heat, please bring thick socks and warm layers.
