About Quercus Yoga
Yoga is never about the gymnastics. Or what you look like in an asana. It’s not a performance or a competition. We're not striving to "achieve" or worrying about goals. It’s about acknowledging how you feel right now, today, this very moment on your mat. And when you do move, how it makes you feel and what you learn about yourself along the way. It empowers, it calms, it’s a beautiful combination of strength and softness. Yes, it’s a lovely way to get very strong and flexible, but the physical movements are only a part of it. I'm often asked "how will I know when I'm doing it right?" There's no such thing. There is nothing to get right, nothing to get wrong.
But if you can maintain that deep, rhythmical, steady flow of breath when your body is under load - you'll know you're doing it really well for YOU.
Step on your yoga mat. Meet yourself exactly as you are, and take it one breath at a time.
I'm a 1000+ hours yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance Global. My studio is a beautiful garden room behind my house in Pitton, Wiltshire. I teach small classes (which can also be live streamed so you can join me from your home) and private lessons. And I have two three-legged cats called Monty and Nelson who often like to join us, especially for Savasana :)
