This course is for you if you’ve never done yoga before, or if it’s been years and you’re starting again. And if you’ve ever thought “I should really try yoga one day”, or assumed you’re not “flexible enough” or “the yoga type”, this is exactly where to begin.
It’s one of our most-requested courses, and how many people take their very first steps into yoga at Nomad.
ABOUT THE COURSE ⤵
We devised this foundation course for anyone looking for a genuinely accessible, thorough introduction to yoga, or as a refresher before returning to regular practice.
Across four weeks you’ll explore the fundamentals of a balanced yoga practice: postures, breathwork, meditation and relaxation, guided step-by-step in a supportive small-group environment.
Each class will focus on foundational elements of yoga practice, learning how to access stillness, build strength, and move with more awareness in the body.
In this series, students will explore:
– Breath techniques and meditation
– Skeletal alignment for foundational postures
– Sun salutations
– Breath-to-movement flow
– Modifications and use of props to support your practice
With a small group size, you’ll receive individual attention and have space to ask questions as you learn.
Our intention is that by the end of the course you’ll feel comfortable with the core yoga postures, and have experienced the calming and centering benefits of breathwork, relaxation and meditation.
