This class offers a combination of classic restorative yoga postures with the deep relaxation of Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep. Restorative Yoga is a gentle, slow, still type of yoga that invites the body back to its natural alignment while encouraging a release of deep-rooted muscular tension, stress, and tightness. Your body will be fully supported with props so you can experience a deep relaxation to replenish your body’s energy.
To complete your total body and mind relaxation we will incorporate a Yoga Nidra practice, offering deep relaxation of your body, mind, and emotions. Benefits of Yoga Nidra practice include stress reduction, management of chronic pain, symptoms of depression and anxiety and relive for sleeplessness.
This class is deeply relaxing and is suitable for all ages, abilities & physical conditions and will complement other active practices we offer at the studio. Join us in-studio benefiting in communal energy or take this class from the comfort of your own home via Zoom.
The studio has plenty of props; however, if you prefer, you may bring your own blanket, bolster or pillow, and a weighted eye mask. Please dress comfortably, with layers of clothing.
Included in your registration fee is a goodie bag filled with relaxation tools you can use in class and take home with you.
