Sound, music & improvisation have been passions of mine for as long as I can remember.
As a multi-instrumentalist and qualified Music teacher, I have spent the last 30 something years performing, composing, working in schools and facilitating workshops for all ages in many different musical genres.
Now fast forward to 2023 and I am fully immersed in the incredible world of therapeutic sound, wellbeing and vibrational medicine.
It has always been wonderful to see the affect and power music has, but during a surf trip in Bali I was inspired to study specifically in Sound Therapy.
I love the sound signature of the crystal bowls, crystal pyramids, Himalayan bowls and the monochord and so usually design my Soundbaths using a combination of these.
I have explored a variety of techniques and methods and been able to witness first hand the wonderful results that Soundbaths have and 1:1 treatments too, such as the Himalayan bowl massage on the body.
Not only can they significantly reduce stress and anxiety by quickly inducing a state of relaxation, but they can have physiological benefits too; such as reducing pain, better sleep, removal of toxins, and the strengthening of the immune system.
Description
In these sound(bath) meditation sessions you are enveloped in ambient therapeutic sounds from alchemy & crystal singing bowls and chimes, guiding you gently into a deep meditative state.
There are many physiological benefits and these can include relief from stress and anxiety, regulating the nervous system, improving sleep, and stimulating the immune system.
Tamara Goldsby's 2016 study on the effects of singing bowls on human health found that people attending singing-bowl meditations reported a reduction in pain symptoms as well as less anxiety, tension, anger and feelings of sadness.
The soothing sounds are designed to be relaxing and it is an opportunity to unplug, reset, and allow the resonance to heal you at a cellular level.
