This class takes place in the studio of Ethos Chiropractic and is a cooperation with this studio and the leading chiropractor Jonathon Narlock.

After a chiropractic adjustment, the whole body is involved in re-establishing a new balance.
Why not connect to your body and integrate the adjustments in a movement class right after a chiropractic adjustment.

This is a live anatomy class, to move, to explore, to feel and to discover what might be new to you. Classes are loosely based upon Yoga but also rehabilitation techniques, integrative movement and even dance.

We stretch some, we strengthen some and then we relaaax…..

How about a personal yoga session tailored to your needs?

In a one-on- one session, your needs, ambitions and challenges are the central theme and working line.

PRIVATE LESSONS
During an individual lesson you are the main focus. You are completely focused on your own body, your breathing, the sense of relaxation and meditative state.

INSIGHT
You can indicate in advance what your wishes are, your questions, your ambitions or any injuries. For example, you can indicate what you want to gain more insight into; for example a certain asana (yoga posture) or strength and flexibility in a certain area of the body or in a movement coming from a completely different sport or movement form.

ADVANTAGES
A clear and focused approach to injuries or ambitions is created. The individual indications provide insight into the specific characteristics of your body. This also increases your effectiveness of the postures in group lessons.
You can also get advice about putting together your own series if you want to get started independently at home.

ADVICE
What I have noticed after 10 years of teaching, is that students that do three things at the same time tend to have more success in changing something in their physical structure:
1) personal classes - so you learn the techniques specifically to your body and what you feel
2) group classes - so you have a wide base of 'Pralaya Tools', a sense of community and the advantage of group class pricing
3) personal practice - building a personal practice is like a piggy bank for life. Once you have this habit established, you can build upon that, change things when necessary, add things, etcetera… The personal classes can help you with this.

INDIVIDUELE LES
Tijdens een individuele les sta jij centraal. Je bent volledig geconcentreerd op je eigen lichaam, je ademhaling, ontspanning en meditatie. De les wordt gegeven aan de hand van jouw specifieke vragen en wensen.

Inzicht
Van tevoren kun je aangeven wat je wensen zijn, je vragen, ambities of eventuele blessures. Je kunt bijvoorbeeld aangeven waar je meer inzicht in wilt verwerven; bijvoorbeeld een bepaalde asana (yogahouding) of juist kracht en flexibiliteit in een geheel andere sport of bewegingskunst. Vaak worden bij een persoonlijke les vragen gesteld over blessures, pijntjes of langlopende uitdagingen/hindernissen.

Voordelen
Er ontstaat een heldere en gerichte aanpak van blessures of ambities. Door de individuele aanwijzingen ontstaat inzicht in de specifieke kenmerken van jouw lichaam. Jouw effectiviteit van de houdingen in groepslessen neemt hierdoor ook toe.
Je kunt ook advies krijgen over het samenstellen van een eigen serie als je thuis zelfstandig aan de slag wilt.

ADVIES
Na ruim 10 jaar lessen geven is me opgevallen dat de studenten die drie wegen tegelijk bewandelen meer succes hebben. De kans dat je een fysieke uitdaging kunt veranderen en verbeteren is groter als je deze drie dingen inzet:
persoonlijke lessen - hierin leer je de kenmerken van jouw lichaam en hoe je de technieken aanpast aan jouw lijf. Je leert de signalen van jouw lichaam ‘lezen’.
Groepslessen - hierin ontwikkel je een brede Pralaya Yoga basis en vul je je gereedschapskist van nuttige houdingen. Daarnaast maak je verbinding met gelijkgestemden en heb je het financiele voordeel van groepslessen.
Persoonlijke beoefening - dit is als een spaarrekening voor je gezondheid. Als je eenmaal deze gewoonte in jezelf hebt gevestigd kun je hierop doorbouwen. Je kunt houdingen toevoegen of weglaten, afhankelijk van jouw wensen, ambities en levensfase.

PRALAYA YOGA
Pralaya Yoga is gebaseerd op het uitlijnen van de gewrichten door het versterken van vergeten spiergroepen, het herstructureren van strak bindweefsel. Wanneer de signalen vanuit de hersenen naar het lichaam en andersom helder vloeien kun je fysiek, emotioneel en energetisch op een hoger nivo functioneren als menselijk wezen.
