Time   05:30 - 06:30
Teacher   Robert
Location   The Revive Studio

Start your day the revived way with our hot power yoga class.

A class suitable for all level yoga students, who aim to become yoga fit!

This dynamic vinyasa practice is always evolving. Expect a creative sequence in which your teacher unpacks a variety of poses by building on the foundations of flow. This class may include arm balances and challenging poses, but they are optional and we encourage our students to honour what their body needs each time they come to the mat.

The class concludes with a approximately 5 minute savasana, whilst we encourage everyone to stay, we know morning can be hectic and you’re free to depart before we start.

Kinda hot, we add the element of heat (32 deg) to create a greater surrender of the muscles as they open and strengthen. This practice will help shake out stagnation and ignite your inner fire.

Fantastic for all level to completely relax

Find a soft edge, be still, hold for time and breathe these are the tenants of yin yoga.

The long-held, deeply restful postures of Yin Yoga a type of meditative practice that complements not only the more muscularly strenuous (yang) styles of yoga or any other physical activities but can be a remedy to our fast-paced lifestyles.

This class targets the connective tissue of the hips, pelvis and lower spine. It is a mindful practice where postures are held for 3 to 5 minutes at a time.

Yin is a practice that encourages people to slow down–immersing in the kind of stillness that can lead to the expansion of consciousness.

Relax & Revitalize Wednesday Restorative Yoga 45 mins

Time   19:10 - 19:55
Teacher   Beverley
Location   The Revive Studio

Suitable for everybody

Restorative yoga enables deep relaxation as you holding poses for longer periods of time with the help of props to completely support you.

The main focus of Restorative Yoga is that by relaxing in poses, with the aid of props, without strain or pain, we can achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Restorative yoga classes are very relaxing and slow paced. Props, like blocks, bolsters, blankets and straps are used so that you are supported in your pose comfortably. You will then hold the pose for an extended period of time. This practice is great to balance an active yoga schedule or to give yourself a break when you feel under the weather.

Our parasympathetic nervous system is stimulated when we relax into poses, which promotes a relaxation response and reduces stress in our bodies. The parasympathetic nervous system is responsible for slowing your heart rate and breath and increasing blood flow to your vital organs, among other things.

When you are practising restorative yoga, you will feel a sense of motionlessness and shapelessness, and this can lead you to feel some emotional discomfort and vulnerability. If this happens, stay with the breath and allow it to pass.
