About Ritual Yoga
Hello and welcome to our little yoga studio. Ritual Yoga is a humble, inclusive studio in the heart of east Fort Lauderdale. In a world of increasing divisiveness, Ritual Yoga is a refuge of acceptance and nourishment. Our mission is to nurture the community through approachable yoga practices and an open heart. With a focus on traditional hatha yoga inspired by the Sivananda lineage and traditional Chinese Medicine meridian theory, our yoga classes invite a direct experience of embodied awareness through gentle movement and the breath.
Classes are held in a lovely little space at Longville Wellness, a holistic health center in east Fort Lauderdale offering acupuncture, homeopathy, organic facials, and manual therapies. It is my hope that Ritual Yoga will offer something that keeps so many people from stepping into a yoga studio and experiencing the wonders of the practice: a safe space of complete acceptance.
Mats, bolsters, meditation cushions, blocks, straps, and blankets are available, and of course you are welcome to bring your own. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows the body to move freely and sit for extended periods of time (especially important for pranayama classes). Please let me know if there are any other arrangements you may need to make you feel more comfortable.
I look forward to sharing this experience with you.
Warmly,
Daylin Shelley
*** Economic status, gender identity, sexuality, race, and ability can limit access to so many things in life. Yoga should never be one of them. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if your current circumstances do not allow financial access to my offerings. I will absolutely work with you as best as I can. 3
