Description

Wie is Nele?

Life is constantly changing, in motion. Some days you need more rest and some days you want to be challenged more. Prana Vinyasa helps you find that balance that we naturally seek. In this creative dynamic style we move through the various postures at a rhythmic pace. There is room to challenge yourself, to push your physical and sometimes mental limits, where respect for yourself and body is always the starting point.

You probably know “Prana”, it means life energy, but how does that energy spread through your body and what is the impact on your physical and mental body? This life energy is always present and moves freely through your body. This is where the Vayus come into the picture.

Vayu refers to 'wind', 'breath' and 'life energy'. According to yoga tradition, there are five different Vayus. These Vayus are distributed in different parts of the body and have various physical and subtle effects.

When these five Vayus work harmoniously, they ensure that our body and mind function healthily and are in balance. This way we can feel completely powerful.

In this masterclass, Nele's intention is to make you feel all 5 vayus, which you can then apply in your own practice or yoga class. For people who are interested in following our 21-hour training "Roots of Prana Vinyasa Yoga" with Nele with us in October 2024, this is a good foretaste of what will come in this training.

What can you expect? A creative flow, energetic and with a touch of humor - Knowledge of 5 Vayu's (Prana - Apana - Samana - Vyana - Udana) - A kick ass playlist

The style: Prana Vinyasa Yoga

PRANA VINYASA FLOW®, developed by Shiva Rea, A style of yoga in which you move very consciously and fluidly between and in the various postures to the rhythm of your breathing. We start from Prana, the underlying energy in your body, which we let flow by using the energy within the posture.

Who is Nele?

As a yoga teacher, she has the unique talent to perfectly sense what her students need. One time she takes you through a quiet and meditative flow, the next day she challenges you to playfully explore your boundaries and, above all, to respect them. When she feels that the class can handle it, she contorts her body into challenging poses: an invitation to try and play herself, because inspiring is her life's mission.

Her style? Prana Vinyasa. Nele learned the tricks of the trade from none other than Shiva Rea, whom she has regularly assisted in India, Mexico, Santorini, Los Angeles and London since 2010. Today she looks back on more than 19 years of experience and organizes Yoga Courses. During these Dutch-language training courses, she inspires yogis to deepen their practice and allows them to evolve into experienced, expert teachers.
