With over 12 years of personal practice and 9 years of teaching experience, I offer classes that honour the depth and diversity of the yoga tradition. I’ve completed 500 hours of Yoga Alliance–accredited training across styles including Ashtāṅga Vinyāsa, Ghosh, Restorative, and Yin Yoga, and have studied with several respected teachers such as Dr Rose Erin Vaughn, Talia Sutra, and Eva Hamilton. Their guidance continues to inspire my teaching. My classes balance structure with fluidity, tradition with modernity, offering a space that feels both grounded and expansive. Yoga, to me, is far more than movement; it is a holistic path that gently reconnects us to what has always been within. Alongside studio teaching, I also facilitate trauma-sensitive sessions in community settings and at Manawatū Prison. This work is close to my heart and reflects my belief that yoga should be accessible to all, regardless of circumstance.

Description

Traditional Hatha Yoga brings balance in to the body and mind, by connecting two opposing forces to create equilibrium.
The practice centers around the breath, which envelopes our āsana (physical practice) to support the body as we build strength, create space and cultivate a deeper sense of awareness within.
Hatha is the root from which all styles of yoga originate from. In other words, all Yoga is Hatha Yoga. This class is steady paced and concentrates mostly on traditional āsana, an introduction to bandha and includes simple pranayama (breathing techniques.)
