With over 12 years of personal practice and 9 years of teaching experience, I offer classes that honour the depth and diversity of the yoga tradition. I’ve completed 500 hours of Yoga Alliance–accredited training across styles including Ashtāṅga Vinyāsa, Ghosh, Restorative, and Yin Yoga, and have studied with several respected teachers such as Dr Rose Erin Vaughn, Talia Sutra, and Eva Hamilton. Their guidance continues to inspire my teaching.
My classes balance structure with fluidity, tradition with modernity, offering a space that feels both grounded and expansive. Yoga, to me, is far more than movement; it is a holistic path that gently reconnects us to what has always been within.
Alongside studio teaching, I also facilitate trauma-sensitive sessions in community settings and at Manawatū Prison. This work is close to my heart and reflects my belief that yoga should be accessible to all, regardless of circumstance.
Description
Yin Yoga is a slow, meditative practice that works deeply into the body’s connective tissues — fascia, ligaments, and joints — to improve flexibility, mobility, and circulation. Supported by props such as blocks, blankets, and bolsters, postures are held for 2–5 minutes to allow the body to release tension and the mind to settle into stillness. Yin offers a balance to more active forms of exercise and day-to-day stress, encouraging patience, presence, and a profound sense of calm.
