2nd Sat: Ashtanga Intermediate Led
We will introduce Mysore style in the near future
-In the Mysore style of Ashtanga, practitioners move at their own pace, supported by appropriate adjustments. Beginners are introduced to a set sequence to practice and memorize, gradually incorporating additional postures into their routine. When you are stuck or unsure of the sequence, wait for the teacher to come help you. No memorization prior to your class is necessary. You will get there eventually.
-In the led classes, Under the guidance of the teacher, participants move through the sequence as a group, maintaining a steady rhythm and synchronizing breath with movement to enhance strength, flexibility, and stamina.
The Ashtanga Primary Series, also known as "Yoga Chikitsa (yoga therapy)," consists of 79 asanas(postures) and various vinyasas (float throughs).
The Ashtanga Intermediate Series, also known as "Second Series" or "Nadi Shodhana (energy channel cleansing/purification)," consists of 95 asanas and various vinyasas.
Embark on a journey to experience the transformative power of Ashtanga yoga in this energizing and inspiring class.
