About Serrette Brown Yoga

Fanta is an RYT-500 yoga teacher, lifelong mover, and community educator — and for her, yoga was never just the poses. She first stepped onto a mat as a college student missing the expressive freedom of dance, and found something deeper: a philosophy and a practice for reconnecting with the body, steadying the mind, and moving through the world with intention.

Her classes weave together functional movement, breath, reflection, and philosophy — the parts of yoga that rarely make it onto a class schedule, but shape everything that happens on the mat. Rooted in yoga's cultural and philosophical traditions, her teaching doubles as coaching: helping students build self-awareness and resilience, and the capacity to stay present with discomfort, on the mat and off it.

That same throughline shapes her work beyond the studio. As a strategist and facilitator in global health and community leadership, Fanta brings the same principles — ground before you decide, reflect before you act — into how she leads, collaborates, and coaches others through change. It's one practice, whether she's teaching a gentle yin class, a philosophy workshop, or coaching a leader through disruption.

Expect classes that hold space for curiosity, compassion, and belonging — an invitation to explore what's possible, physically and otherwise, in the present moment.
