Hatha yoga postures fused with easeful flowing movements in contrast to the longer holds explored in other classes. Gentle flowing movements within the postures help to improve mobility and range of motion by hydrating the soft tissues and fascia, whilst also gently strengthening the muscles and bones.
In this class we will begin in with centreing and arriving in seated then progress through a sequence of postures and movements in seated, standing and on the ground. This will incorporating some easeful flowing movements to gently energise the body and mind. The class will end with relaxation in Savasana.
This class will help to boost circulation and digestion, reducing sluggishness and shifting stagnant energy from the system. In addition to the physical benefits, gentle flow can help to elevate mood and ease feelings of lethargy or dullness.
Useful props: A non-slip mat, a few yoga blocks or cushions.
