Sumukhi has been teaching yoga since 1999 and is most inspired by her Guru Shri Brahmananda Sarasvati, Ramamurti S. Mishra M.D. She teaches classical Yoga in every sense of the word. Lately she has been studying and practicing Indian classical music with Manik Khan of the Maihar Gharana led by his father Ustad Ali Akbar Khan and grandfather Baba Alauddin Khan.
