About Stephanie dCH Yoga

Hi! I'm Stephanie. Welcome.

I have been practising yoga for about 12 years, teaching for 7. Yoga is a powerful tool for so many things, including but not limited to- processing emotion, building strength both physically and mentally, and calming the nervous system. I have found yoga to be extremely healing and enlightening in my own life. My goal is to provide space and time for you as a student to find the asana (yoga poses) in your body, to help you breathe deeper through pranayama (breathwork) and to find a slightly slower pace in this very racy world. Carving out the time for yourself to get on the mat and move in a way that feels good is a good way to fill your cup.

I teach both online (on a Monday night- a practice which started during lockdown), and on a Thursday night in Prestwood where I grew up. Classes are friendly and welcoming.

Off the mat, I hang out with my daughter, my dog, and my husband, walking, swimming and playing music on my harmonium. I love listening to music, seeing friends and family, and watching psychological thrillers. In my other job, I am a social prescriber, helping to connect people with local services to decrease isolation and loneliness.

The word 'yoga' is sanskrit for 'union'. I am passionate about building community and union in all areas of my life.
