Katie first discovered yoga 8 years ago when she was studying at university. In 2016 she became more fascinated with the practice, going to classes almost every day in and around Manchester, Bikram hot yoga and Ashtanga were her go to. Her personal practice has evolved over the years, she’s learned to listen more to her body and what she needs. “What I love about yoga, is that it’s not about what it looks like, but more about how it feels.” “The practice is your own personally journey inward, as a practitioner I am there to guide you to find out what feels good for you.” In 2018 I packed up my corporate life in Manchester and headed to India for 8 months of travel, seeking as much yoga as possible - it was here that I completed my 200 hour YTT. Since then I have completed a 50 hour Yin teacher training and spent 3 months in Bali delving deeper into my own personal practice. Off the mat Katie is a bit of a travel addict, she loves seeing the world and experiencing all types of cultures and of course yoga. In the last year Katie as been building her brand “Calm with Katie” where she combines all of her knowledge in mindset, movement and meditation to approach the world of coaching. Her go to mantra for life is “feel the fear and do it anyway” - encouraging herself and others to step into their power whether that’s on or off the mat. Katie’s classes are open for all levels, she offers variations throughout encouraging you to listen to your body and reminding you that this is a personal practice. Somedays may be slow and intuitive whilst others may feel a little more powerful, she encourages students to approach their practice with an open mind and an open heart. ❤️ She cannot wait to meet you all and share pockets of knowledge on this wonderful ancient practice.

At NOT JUST A MUM CLUB you'll practise Yoga to help your body and mind and get you out of the house to meet other mums and babies!
You'll build strength, balance and coordination through a gentle Yoga practice whilst taking some time JUST FOR YOU (because you deserve it mama!)

These classes are 45 minutes in length, followed by half an hour to hang out afterward class for a chat with the other mamas and babas. (Ticket price includes a HOT coffee/tea & chocolate/biscuits)

Aimed at mums who would love to begin or get back into Yoga, but don't have time with their little ones to get to a class - now you can bring them with you and enjoy the practice together!

Please know that NOT JUST A MUM CLUB is a safe, welcoming group where anything goes...crying, feeding, sleeping are most definitely welcome here…and not just from the babies🙂

Suitable for all levels & abilities…beginners welcomed. Children of all ages welcomed.

At Sunshine and Soul Studio your mat and any additional props are all included in the price...simply turn up with your beautiful self (& your baby) and relax!

PLEASE NOTE: If you have given birth recently, please wait until your postnatal check with your GP to start exercise. General NHS advice is 6 weeks for a vaginal birth & 12 weeks for a C-section or birth with complications.
However there is NO RUSH; rest is extremely important after birth and into the fourth trimester...So depending on your birth I advise checking in with your intuition and beginning when you feel ready. (Speak to your midwife/health visitor/doctor if you’re unsure)
