This class (open to all levels) is designed to help release physical, mental and emotional tension using the beautiful practices of Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra. We use the longer held yin yoga poses to release tension into the deeper myofascial tissues. The length of the holds means this can be achieved without creating unnecessary stress on the body. We use props to ensure you are supported in each pose and provide alternatives to suit every body. This will be for approximately 60 minutes of the class.
We follow that with Yoga Nidra for approximately 30 minutes. This is a deep relaxation practice that involves lying on the floor in a supported and comfortable position. Similar to a guided meditation, you will follow the sound of the teachers voice inviting you into a relaxed state and slower brain wave patterns. This allows for a settling of the nervous system and a calmer mental and emotional state.
