Hatha Yoga Class 30 Sept

In this class we stay low on the mat for most of the class focusing on opening the chest area, and mobilising the shoulders and hips.
We start with Prana Mudra to connect in with out breath and energy then moving into some seated stretches.
The next section of class includes cat, cows, cobra and some big side stretches. We move from there into some gentle low lunges and on to Katu Pranam (a variation on the traditional sun salute that starts and finishes in a kneeling position).
The postures part of this class concludes with some poses lying on our back including fish pose and a spinal twist. That is followed by a body scan and either a lying down or seated meditation to finish.
