Seasoned Practitioners: revisit alignment habits and undo potentially injurious ones, focus on body articulation, proprioception, interoception, and simmer in poses a little longer than a flow class allows. Reconnect with your practice on a deeper level. Who knows what you might discover.

Bring a mat, and any props you have. We do have some mats and props on offer to borrow yet they are in limited supply. Reception staff can help you find the gallery.

Chair classes are perfect for anyone who has limited mobility, difficulty getting on the floor, or sensory problems such as hearing loss or vision impairment which can affect balance. If your struggle is acute or chronic pain you will find this class improves strength and functional movement abilities.

TRY one, the other, or BOTH the 3Bodies Movement and Lights Out!
1 hour of guided movement, 1 hour of free-form dance. Magic!
$17 for one, or both classes. You decide.
No need for prior experience in dance.

7-8pm GUIDED MOVEMENT - using different tools to work with the physical body, mental/emotional body, and spirit with the hopes of creating unity in the individual and recognizing our relationship to other. The class is guided in theme but the movements are improvised. Finding your own interpretation of the story work will deepen our communication with our body and creative, intuitive self.

8-9pm FREEFORM DANCE - class is followed by Lights Out, a freeform dance hour in a dimly lit room. This one hour freeform dance is a no talking, no shoes, dimly lit room, allowing a more introspective and uninhibited safe space to explore your moving body in rhythm and play.

In Yin yoga postures are mostly passive in nature and are held for an extended amount of time, anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes depending on the asana. The intention to increase flexibility and decrease stress.

Candlelight Yin is taught weekly by Tamara Stackpoole

Need to get your Ya-Ya's out? Need a nudge to workout? This class is meant to get you pumped while being at play. Incorporating cardio, yoga and sculpt techniques to a modern day playlist of tunes - spend an hour on self care and get some grrr out.

This class will be held at The Karuna Center, the former SPACE, and before that it was the Shree Yoga studio.

All Levels Welcome
Modifications and variations are given to meet you where you are at on the mat. Each week we explore different themes approaching the practice from the mental, emotional and physical body, weaving the practice on the mat into our daily life.

Bring any props you have. Not always needed, but good to have at least one block, a strap (preferably 8-10 ft) and a blanket for class.
