Megan Peterson
Megan is a 500-hour certified teacher and student of yoga and Ayurveda. She is a certified prenatal yoga instructor and a certified Thai Yoga Bodywork practitioner. She has taught many formats of yoga over the last 8 years, including prenatal, postnatal, family and children's, vinyasa, yin, restorative, and chair. She has completed many trainings in trauma-informed bodywork and yoga practices and is passionate about supporting those who have experienced trauma. Megan is also a full-spectrum doula committed to providing safe and healing spaces for people during their pregnancy and postpartum times. In addition to birth and postpartum doula care, Megan also provides education, comfort, and support to those experiencing pregnancy loss and abortion. Megan has been a doula since 2016 after a wonderful experience with the doulas who attended the birth of her daughter. She completed DONA-certified training in birth doula and lactation & feeding support in 2018. She brings her yoga and bodywork background into her doula practice to help pregnant and postpartum people feel comfortable in their bodies before and after giving birth.

Description

In restorative yoga, we create a space for the body to experience deep rest. This is done by creating a safe space where we can keep ourselves still, warm, and quiet. In 90 minutes, we'll only move through 4 poses that are completely supported by props - there is no physical effort in this class, only rest.
