Yoga has been a steady support in my life since graduating college in the late 90s. I began my journey with more athletic forms of yoga, including Bikram and heated Vinyasa. Over time, as I moved through different stages of life, from pregnancy to being a new mom and now into midlife, my practice has naturally shifted and evolved to include more restorative practices. My teaching emphasizes mental and emotional balance as much as bringing physical comfort to your body. When I am not teaching, I work one on one with clients in my private yoga therapy practice in J.P.
My love for learning has led me to many certifications over the past 20 years, including a 200-hour YTT from YogaSpirit Studios in 2005, 500-hour YTT from Barbara Benagh, and a 600-hour Yoga Therapy certification from Phoenix Rising in 2020. Additional certifications include Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapy Training, Thai Yoga Massage, Restorative Yoga Teacher Training, The Art of Assists, Yoga for Anxiety and Depression, and Reiki Level 1.
Description
Unwind, reset, and nourish your nervous system in this deeply relaxing Restorative Yoga class enhanced with gentle Reiki energy healing. Using supportive props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks, we’ll settle into a series of restful poses designed to release tension, calm the mind, and invite the body into a state of deep restoration.
As you relax in each posture, the instructor will offer optional Reiki. Light, hands-on or hands-above energy work to support energetic balance, encourage relaxation, and promote overall well-being. The combination of restorative postures and Reiki creates space for stress relief, emotional grounding, and subtle energetic renewal.
This class is slow-paced, meditative, and suitable for all levels, including beginners. No prior yoga or Reiki experience is needed, simply come as you are and allow yourself time to rest and receive.
