I am a Certified Yoga & Meditation Teacher through Cape Cod School of Yoga in Mashpee as well as School of Yoga - New Bedford. Sharing and promoting my love of yoga is truly my passion. I started yoga as a student in 2012 for movement and exercise, but I fell in love with the philosophy and what it means to be a yogi. To me, yoga means spreading kindness to all beings everywhere, mentally, physically and spiritually. My background is in Exercise Physiology and Exercise Sciences, and I became a certified Mental Health First Aid to expand my awareness and to be able to further guide others. With my knowledge and experience, I am able to conduct a productive, fun, and safe class for all.
Description
This class offers a dynamic yet meditative approach to yoga, combining the strength-building aspects of a traditional flow with the mindfulness of multiple breaths per posture. Designed for those seeking a deeper connection to their practice, it emphasizes intentional movement, breath awareness, and precise alignment. Begin with grounding through the breath and setting your intention, followed by a gentle warm-up to prepare the body. Sequences include yoga postures held for extended periods, allowing for deeper exploration of alignment and muscle engagement. Transitions are deliberate, fostering a sense of control and presence.
