Ashley first tried yoga in the late '90s, and for a long time it was just an occasional part of her routine, until she got hooked on hot Vinyasa. After practicing this fast-moving and demanding style of yoga for a few years, she developed patellar tendinopathy in both knees. Suddenly she struggled with poses that she'd always been able to do without any problem.
She found that most mainstream classes didn't offer much support for people with injuries or mobility issues. She was on my own to figure out how to adapt poses if she wanted to keep practicing.
This inspired her to pursue teaching. She wanted to help others with similar experiences enjoy the benefits of yoga while finding the right modifications and/or props to make it more accessible for their unique bodies.
Her style blends Hatha and gentle Vinyasa - sometimes flowing between poses, often lingering in deep stretches. No matter what's on the menu for any given class, she is dedicated to helping every student find ways to practice that meet them where they are.

Description
Also called "active relaxation," restorative yoga gives your body a treat with a healing practice rooted in stillness. We'll stay in restful, grounded poses for up to 5 minutes, using props like bolsters, blankets, and lavender eye pillows to help find ultimate comfort and relaxation.
All levels are welcome. No experience necessary.
