Katrin has been teaching yoga for more than 20 years. She started with a Sivananda TTC and has been spending a few months every years in India and Nepal, learning and teaching in several Yoga ashrams and schools. Her style is traditional Hatha Yoga incl. Pranayama and different mediation techniques (e.g. Yoga Nidra). Her class is a slow flow of Hatha Yoga asanas followed by a deep relaxation.

A grounding Hatha evening class
This gentle evening class offers a grounding space to unwind, release tension, and reconnect with yourself after a long day. With slow, intentional movement and longer-held postures, it encourages deep relaxation and a sense of inner calm. You’ll move through classical Hatha asanas with mindful attention to breath and alignment, allowing the nervous system to settle and the body to soften.
Rather than flowing, we move with awareness – each posture becomes an invitation to slow down and fully arrive in the present moment. Suitable for all levels, especially those seeking a steady, calming way to end the day with clarity and ease.

Sabine Joseph
Sabine has been practicing yoga for more than a decade. Her journey led her to complete a 200-hour teacher training at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Farm in California, a school registered with Yoga Alliance. She went on to share her practice at retreat centres in Sri Lanka.
Drawn to the freedom and creativity of aerial yoga, she later completed an additional 250-hour training with the Aerial Yoga Academy, also accredited by Yoga Alliance.
Now based near Óbidos, Sabine offers aerial yoga classes at Vaya Yoga Studio. Her classes weave traditional yoga postures with the support of the hammock—ranging from grounding floor work and standing poses to flowing aerial sequences and playful inversions.
She teaches weekly group sessions at Vaya Yoga Studio and also shares her practice in other settings, including private sessions in nature. Sabine’s approach invites students to defy gravity, explore mindful movement, and reconnect with joy. Most importantly, she encourages everyone to have fun, stay curious, and embrace the freedom of flying together.

The class flows through a series of movements supported by the hammock, combining grounding transitions with playful moments of suspension and lightness. The aerial fabric allows you to explore poses with greater freedom and ease, enhancing flexibility, building strength, and encouraging natural spinal decompression through gentle inversions. The hammock becomes a partner in your practice: offering support, inviting curiosity, and making space for both stability and exploration. We end with deep stretches and guided relaxation, cocooned in the hammock for a final moment of rest and stillness. The experience is calming, nourishing, and joyful, ideal for beginners or anyone seeking a fresh perspective on movement and mindfulness. Come as you are, and enjoy the freedom to move, float, and reconnect with your sense of play.
