Working with Fire - Anger into Kindness - Liver Practice

Fire lives in all of us. It fuels our passion, our movement, our growth. It is what gets us out of bed, what inspires change, what helps us step forward into life with courage. But like all elements, when this fire grows too strong, too uncontained, it can begin to burn.
At this time of year, I often notice how quickly that inner fire can rise into something sharper, frustration, anger, or rage. It can come on thick and fast, sometimes surprising us with its intensity.
Perhaps this is because we are not yet seeing the results of the intentions we set months ago. Or because our passion for something we care deeply about begins to tip into force. Sometimes, it is simply because our needs are not being met.
For me, one of my patterns is that my passion and enthusiasm for justice and understanding can build into frustration and irritation. When that happens, it can feel overwhelming and eventually lead to total exhaustion.
So how do we meet this part of ourselves? Well this practice will support that very journey...
Tame the Fire, transforming Anger into the Highest Possible Kindness.
