About Vie Yoga
Hello, I'm Victoria and I've been teaching yoga in the Southside of Glasgow since 2018. I would describe my classes as a slow flowing style of yoga and perfect for those wanting to improve their flexibility, strength and become more familiar with the benefits of breath and relaxation on the body.
A typical class will start with becoming aware of how we are breathing and finding a fuller, more conscious breath pattern to accompany our movement. We will warm the body and move through some flowing combinations of postures, partnered with slow, full breaths. This is what we call 'vinyasa' in yoga, the partnering of breath and movement. Once we have woken up our muscles and generated some internal heat, it's the perfect time to settle into some longer-held stretches, mostly seated or reclined on our mat. As the practice winds down, it leads us into our savasana or relaxation. Our movement and stretches and breath focus will leave you in the best possible place to be able to settle into savasana, being able to relax is a skill in itself and a really important part of our yoga practice.
