I came to yoga for the physical—but I stayed for the transformation.
After years of bodybuilding, I was searching for something to ease the tightness and chronic pain in my body. What began as a way to build strength and flexibility became a lifelong path of discipline, devotion, and deep inner work.
Asana is powerful. It builds resilience, sharpens focus, and teaches the mind to stay steady under pressure. These aren’t just qualities that support meditation—they are the very foundation of it. The physical practice prepares us for stillness. It lays the groundwork for inner awareness, deep states of meditation, and ultimately, samadhi.
My teachings honor the full depth of yoga—from the physical to the subtle. I blend challenging, intentional movement with breath awareness, energetic awareness, and yogic philosophy. Outside the studio, I’m immersed in daily study and practice, focusing on pranayama, meditation, and internal cultivation. I’m currently studying Nei Gong with Damo Mitchell of the Internal Arts Academy and Kriya Yoga through the Self-Realization Fellowship, founded by Paramahansa Yogananda.
My formal training is in Ashtanga, Power Yoga, and Rocket Yoga, and I’ve had the privilege of learning from teachers who deeply understand both the physical body and the eight-limbed path. Their wisdom continues to shape my own practice and teaching, and I’m forever grateful for their guidance. I also hold a certification as a Chopra Health™ Ayurveda Teacher, trained by Dr. Deepak Chopra and his faculty, and weave Ayurvedic wisdom into how I live, move, and teach.
At the heart of it all, I teach because yoga continues to change my life—and I believe it can change yours, too. Whether you’re here to build strength or seek stillness, you’ll find that the deeper you go, the more the practice becomes not just something you do—but who you are.

Hello, I’m Daniel. I love being in nature, connecting with community, all things fitness, good books, long meditations and enjoying time alone. I care deeply and passionately about the evolution of consciousness and find my purpose by serving and supporting others in their own personal growth, exploration and healing.
I grew up near Winston Salem, in a devoted christian household. I attended a Bible college near Chicago, IL and later moved to Thailand for mission work. In 2013 I moved back to NC, and left full time ministry work, then began helping at a small family business. Then in 2017 while struggling emotionally, physically, and spiritually through a dark time, I began to practice yoga consistently each day. As my focus shifted from outward to inward, life began to transform. Yoga became an incredibly powerful tool that was able to help reconnect my body, soul and mind. In 2021 I decided to deepen my practice and knowledge by completing yoga teaching training and becoming a 200 RYT. Since then I continue to practice daily, and am grateful for the opportunity to teach and guide others though practice.

Description
Rocket Vinyasa Yoga, also known as 'The Rocket', is a style of yoga developed by Larry Schultz in San Francisco, a former Ashtanga student of Pattabhi Jois and the Grateful Dead's private yoga teacher.
Rocket Yoga is rooted in the practice of Ashtanga Vinyasa. There are three main sequences in the system and they all focus on building strength and mobility, while also cultivating concentration and mental focus so that the student can enter states of spiritual awareness faster (it's called the Rocket because "it gets you there faster"). The practices intertwine foundational asanas with arm balancing and fun transitions, creating a beautiful balance of traditional Ashtanga with the dynamic benefits and fun vibe of Power yoga. One of the key concepts of Rocket is repetition and only when you keep repeating, you can do anything (even hard things)!
This class is for anybody who likes to bend the rules a bit, be challenged without so much rigidity, enhance mobility, and connect deeper to themselves. Come see how Rocket can get you there faster!

Music and sound have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My love for electronic music and growing up near Seattle exposed me to all sorts of music, and over the years, my fascination with sound has only deepened as I started to explore DJing in college. As a former high school and college basketball athlete, I’ve always been interested in the science of the body and health, which led me to pursue a career in nursing. I earned a bachelor's degree in public health from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO, and later completed my BSN at Duke University.
Before finding yoga, I was a competitive CrossFit athlete. But when I met my wife, Allie, I was strongly encouraged (forced) to attend her yoga classes. What started as a reluctant experience quickly turned into a realization that yoga and meditation were the missing links I had been searching for. As my strength, mobility, and overall well-being improved, I transitioned to practicing yoga exclusively for both physical and mental health. Through this journey, I became an avid meditator—an experience that was nothing short of life-changing.
My deep dive into meditation naturally led me to the transformative power of sound. After experiencing my first sound meditation in Asheville with Billy Zanski of Skinny Beats Sound Shop, I was mesmerized by the power of gongs and how ambient music could shift energy and consciousness. Later in meditation I received confirmation that creating my own ambient soundscapes was something worth exploring and sharing with others.
Now, as a sound practitioner, I blend my love for electronic music with ancient healing instruments, creating unique and transcendental sound experiences. My sessions feature gongs (my absolute favorite), synthesizers, native flutes, guitar, the didgeridoo, and other powerful instruments to elevate the collective vibration of those who experience them.
I've been fortunate to study under incredible mentors, including Billy Zanski, who introduced me to the world of sound healing and the didgeridoo, and Mike Tamburo, one of the most renowned gong players in the country. Additionally, I’ve worked one-on-one with Colin Allured, an incredible musician here in Winston-Salem, to dive into music theory, the guitar, and explore ancient vocalization techniques.
Through sound, I’ve found my true passion—helping others shift their energy, expand their consciousness, and experience deep relaxation and healing. I invite you to join me in this journey, immerse yourself in the frequencies, and feel the profound effects of sound.

Heidi Leigh
Hi, I’m Heidi Leigh and I’ve been teaching yoga for over 10 years, since moving to Winston Salem. I have three “kids” – Oliver Runyon Twist (5 yo), Pinky Alessandro Fiorucci (4 yo) and King George Phillip I (1 yo).
I have been lucky enough to have an amazing lifetime before becoming a yoga teacher. Traversing the country from FL to CA to NC, I worked in the film industry as the personal assistant for Sandra Bullock while filming A Time to Kill, in Disney HQ and for the NHL Florida Panthers. Spending so many years in office jobs gave me such an appreciation for how yoga impacts the way my body feels and the importance of building movement into the day.
My path to the mat started in 1995 when I was living in Los Angeles. My first class was with Bryan Kest and my relationship to the practice of yoga was an immediate love affair. 2005 was the year I went for my teacher training at the “Miami Beach Yoga Shala” and I had to navigate the storms on and off the mat as Katrina hit Florida. But life is full of changing weather and yoga has helped me build personal resilience.
My classes are challenging and joyful, and never the same. I plan my classes around you and your fellow party people. My goal for each class is for you to discover new opportunities for your practice – working muscles, building strong postures, creating good energy and overall finding happiness for all. I will never ask you to go past the point of fun, but always find your own rainbow connection. Song requests are welcome and everyone has music veto rights (except when Prince is on).
Disclaimer: I don’t always mean “last one”; I don’t know right from left; and I’m a middle child.

Description
Yogastha Sadhana is a vinyasa based class that targets a multi-limbed approach to the daily practice of yoga. This mindful practice begins by building pranayama (regulating the breath) as the foundation and warming the body in a set sequence of sun salutations and standing postures, before moving through a series of seated postures. Each class ends with a closing sequence including backbends and inversions before settling into seated contemplation and rest. Rooted in the eight-limbed path, Yogastha Sadhana classes emphasize alignment, breath awareness, and thoughtful transitions, cultivating strength, flexibility and balance. Suitable for all levels, it offers a holistic approach to yoga—empowering the body, refining the breath, sharpening focus, and opening the mind to clarity and presence.

Description
This powerful deep stretch class begins with 15–20 minutes of a dynamic vinyasa flow to warm the muscles, open the fascia, and prepare the body for release. After this initial flow, you’ll move to the floor to settle into long, slow, deep postures held for 2–4 minutes each—designed to unravel tension, increase flexibility, and improve range of motion.
We target the connective tissue—especially the fascia—with stillness, sustained holds, and often self-massage or myofascial release techniques. These practices help hydrate and restore your fascia, support joint health, and release trapped tension and emotion stored in the body.
While some sensations may feel intense, you’ll leave feeling lighter, looser, and more aligned—physically and energetically. Ideal for athletes, yogis, or anyone craving full-body recovery, LSD helps reduce compression and improve mobility in key areas like the hips, shoulders, and spine.
